The Glint Visibility Architecture

The framework behind every Glint engagement. Three conditions determine whether your business gets found, trusted, and chosen - before you ever speak to a buyer.

Most B2B businesses have a visibility problem they can't diagnose. They're investing in marketing but not appearing where buyers are actually looking. Their reputation in a room doesn't match their reputation online. And increasingly, they're invisible to AI platforms that their buyers are using daily to research, shortlist, and decide.

The Glint Visibility Architecture maps the three conditions that determine whether a business is visible, credible, and chosen. Every Sort-It Audit and retained engagement is built around it.

    Layer 01

    Retrievability

Can buyers - and AI systems - actually find and read your content?

Retrievability is the foundation. Before any content can build your reputation, it needs to be accessible. That means your website can be read by search engines and AI crawlers. Your schema markup tells platforms what your business is and who it serves. Your site structure, load speed, and technical setup aren't blocking the content you've worked to create.

Most businesses assume this is fine. Often it isn't. A website built on JavaScript that AI crawlers can't render, a blog with no schema markup, a LinkedIn profile with an incomplete headline - these are invisible gaps that compound quietly over time.

Retrievability is the first thing we assess. Everything else builds on it.

    Layer 02

    Extractability

Is your content structured so buyers get a clear answer - and AI platforms can cite you?

Being findable isn't enough. The content buyers land on has to answer the question they actually came with. Clearly, specifically, and without making them work for it.

AI platforms like ChatGPT and Perplexity don't rank pages - they extract passages. A well-written 2,000-word article with a vague opening will be passed over in favour of a shorter piece that answers the question directly in the first paragraph. The structure of your content determines whether it gets cited or ignored.

Extractability covers how your content is written, how it's structured, whether it answers the questions your buyers are actually typing, and whether each section stands alone as a complete, usable answer. It applies to your website, your blog, your LinkedIn articles, and your newsletter.

    Layer 03

    Authority

Do the third-party signals exist to make buyers trust what they find?

Buyers don't just search for you. They research you. They look at what others say - reviews, press mentions, industry publications, podcast appearances, case studies. AI platforms do the same. Research shows that 85% of AI brand mentions come from third-party sources, not from a business's own website.

Authority is the hardest layer to build and the most durable once it exists. It covers your earned media presence, the credibility signals around your leadership team, your client outcomes, and the gap between how well-regarded you are in your sector and how visible that regard is online.

A business with a strong internal reputation and weak external signals is leaving significant commercial ground to competitors who are less good but better cited.

    How the three layers connect

Retrievability without Extractability means buyers can find you but leave without an answer. Extractability without Authority means your content is clear but not trusted. Authority without Retrievability means your reputation exists but can't be found.

All three have to work. The Sort-It Audit assesses where each layer is strong, where it's breaking down, and what to fix first.
